Default Tire size...

i am getting 16x7 rims, and I am planning on buying tires that are 205/45/16. i was wondering if 215/45/16 would also fit on my rims.

what do you guys think about Falken Azenis (the 215/45/16 ones) ? thanks.

If I can fit 205's on my 15 x 6.5 wheels then you should definately be able to fit 215's.

The general gist of Azenis that I have come to is that they are an amazing tire but don't buy them if where you live rains a lot. Tread wear is ok.

some tires also come in a 215/40-16 fitment. Perfect for a 7" wheel.

A 215 should be fine on a 7inch wide, but on a 6.5, you will have more contact patch with a 205. my yokohama avs es 100's are great, good tire.

i have 215/40-16 my thinkin was since the general upgrading was to 205/45, gettin a lil more tread to 215's that would create more volume of air inside the tire if it was 45 series so i lowered it to 40. and maybe get a lil better gearing. however neglieable.
