what's wrong with the car? I don't have a printed wiring diagram for DPFI, but I can tell you which wires go where... MPFI helm diagram is available online for free.

did you hook up both ground straps? The one that goes to the valve cover and the one that goes to the tranny? Also, what about the ecu ground wire? It bolts to the thermostat housing with a 10mm bolt.

out of curiosity, how much did the mechanic charge you? did he find the problem himself, or did you suggest to him what to look for?
