as i understand precision is the race division of garrett, their housings are what makes them so special , nice. that and they are very good people to deal with. their turbos are on some of the fastest cars on the import and domestic side.contact arturbo for your purchase or questions

the main ones I know are different housings and 360thrust bearing vs the standard 270 thrust bearing.

What everybody is saying is on base. We use Garrett wheels and center sections(which are different from Turbonetics) along with a 360-degree bearing system, our own exhaust housings and CNC machined back plates. All housings are optimized for better air flow. When it comes to ball bearing CHRA's, we use the Garrett dual ball bearing system. Turbonetics has a single, ceramic coated ball bearing with a thrust bearing.

We're also different from Turbonetics in that we sell a wide range of performance parts. Our owner works directly with a number of race teams. We have fun with what we do and have a lot of great dealers and customers. Besides, there's not that much to do in NW Indiana anyway except watch the corn grow <grin>. If we can't help you, we'll do our best to refer you to someone else who can.

to Rod.

One of the reasons we carry precision is because they build custom turbos that actually work. turbos that actually make power. they dont build turbos by the book like netics. they have their own unique combinations. We have dealt with turbonetics in the past and they still to this day have the absolute worst customer service. Precision strives on pleasing their customers. Precison is constantly coming out with new technology that will help us all take our cars to the next level. it seems to me like turbonetics is building the same BS they have in "the book". so as already stated. ported housings, custom machined housing to fit larger wheels in smaller housings, blade configuration and a 12 month/ 12k mile warranty that they actually stand behind is what seperates precision from most of the rest. Dont get me wrong there are other great turbo manufacturers out there but bang for the buck they cannot touch precision prices!!

Precision always has the newest ideas and technology. We've been working with them on our race car and have really learned alot about what works and what doesn't. They've been very helpfull in suggesting and allowing us to try different combinations. Funny, turbonetics never bothered to try and better our setup Precision
