Default Removing Cat. Problem!! More Help!! :-(

Okay, trying to get the three bolts loose that attach the cat. to the B-pipe (I think it is the B-pipe, it's the pipe that goes back from the back to the rest of the exhaust system). The bolts just won't come loose. Any suggestions guys?

I'm not sure what PB blaster is either, but have you tried WD-40? I would just spray it down really good with some WD-40 and let it soak in overnight and attack it again first thing in the morning.

If the bolts are really corroded and rusted, I believe there is some formula called RustOff or NutsOff. I forgot, but I read about it on some military forum.

get some liquid wrench. works great. 2 bucks at homedepot or a similar store. get the non flamable kind.

also, you might want to try to take off the cat's heat sheild, maybe the back side of the bolt is turning.

it's a penetrating spray, like WD-40, etc. I've found that it works better than WD40 though.

Air tools. Those bolts are a pain. Just don't strip it whatever you do.

Actually ITR 1162, I am in Phoenix now, was in Chicago til about a week ago.

I will pick up some liquid wrench stuff in a little bit and hopfully that will do the trick.

The bolts hopefully won't strip because I am using a socket set
