Help wierd whining sound.
Ok here's the problem.. when the car is in reverse it makes that wierd whining sound like all manual cars.. however now it does that when going forward also only louder .. only recently started.. car has been turbo for about 4 months.. and has an ACT clutch. Any ideas? Seems to only do it when it's in gear.. not when it's in neutral. thanks for any advice!
Not FI related, but I will try to help.
Try draining your trans fluid. Make sure you inspect the fluids color. Goldish will be work synchro rings, silverish will be worn bearings and/or gears.
Sounds to me like you could have a bearing issue. Since it only makes the noise while in gear I would rule out the pilot bearing and throwout bearings, but inspect those as well.
