Default rsx, hoses on intake =?

soooooooo

im in the middle of doing my ghetto fabulous intake.. so far, so good. prob is, i cant tell what the connections are coming off the stock intake pipe.

here is what they are.
#1: MAP sensor. that one was easy. plug with wire attached.

#2: there is a fairly thick tube going from intake pipe to head. its wrapped with a coolant line. it blows air out. now, typically, this is part of the pcv system, and is supposed to suck air in to create a positive airflow through the head. can anyone explain what this tube is doing, why its connected to intake, and why there is a coolant line around it?

#3: there is a smaller tube plugged into the bottom of the intake pipe. this tube sucks air in. now, im thinking, perhaps this is part of the pcv system? i cant trace it, it went under the intake manifold (its dark outside now), toward the side of the car where the pcv valve is. what is this tube doing?

finally, are either of the 2 tubes connected to aftermarket intakes?

what is the proper way to connect them?

thx, i hope someone can help..
