i bought a 5" tach from a friend, it's called an autogage, by autometer. There are 4 wires, a red, a black, a green and a white. I'm not sure where they go, i ran the red to my battery and the black for a ground, but i'm not exactly sure where the green and the white go, i know one has to go to the coil, and i think the other goes for a light, anyone know by any chance, any help would be greatly appreciated, and if possible, maybe a little description about where the coil is, other than under the cap........thanks

i tried their website and i couldn't find anything, i'll give the wires a try, white to lights and green to coil, that's what someone else told me earlier today on another website, thanks guys
i did this install twice.. and yes for sure white is for lighting and green is for the negative side of the ignition coil. on my car ('91 hatch) i spliced into a blue wire off the dizzy.
also, on those tachs, there's a short loop of 2 wires.. black and brown i think. if i remember correctly don't cut any if you have a v8, cut one (not sure which) if its a 6 cylinder, and both for a 4 banger. check the website to be sure.. i'm pretty foggy on these details.

i got the white hooked up and it was definatley light cuz now the light works, just gotta hook up to the coil now, it was already in a 4 banger before, and they made it work then, so i don't need to cut any of the wires, i was surprised that it was this simple of an installation, thanks everyone, later
