Hi guys!

I have a tachometer from Autometer that i havent installed yet and i am trying to find out if the tach will light up in the dark when it is connected.
I am a noob when it comes to electrical stuff.So i hope that you can help me out.

What whire(colour) is for the tachlight?

Hope you understod my question?Im swedish </TD></TR></TABLE>Well hello fellow Swed, moved to Canada way back in 57 , and no, I do not speak Swedish any more, I also run an Autometer in my car, 94 teg, I removed my OEM clock and used it's power plug for everything except tach., Need to know what model Autometer it is and what kind of car you have?, and what wire color do you need, the tachs, or the cars? 94

 

you need to connect the illumination (green wire i think) to the black with red stripe wire. This is the parking light wire on you EK. Thats how the tach knows when to turn on its internal light.
