ok i have finally finished the y8 head and z6 block. everything put together. been driving around trying to find more problems (as it always happens). engine feels strong. but theres ticking on the head..sounds like i might need valve adjustment. and i dont hear vtec..would doing the valve adjustment help with vtec? when it was a straight y8, vtec use to be real loud..but now..i cant even hear it. how can i find out to see if vtec solenoid is working? or if vtec is working?

no idea...are you sure VTEC is engaging? do you have any CEL's?

yeah...try doing a valve adjustment and see if that helps...
