Direct Port or Single Fogger
I need help deciding on which kit would be better for me, direct port, or a plain, single fogger kit. Im hoping to run 13's with the kit, and dont want to run any more than a 75 shot. A dual stage would be perfect, 50 for the street, 75 for the track, but they are too much. I have my selection down to a Zex wet kit, or one of r0by's direct port kits. He will sell me a used GSR mani, used bottle, new everything else, tap the mani, bend the hard lines, and install the solenoids for 500 bucks. The DP would be nice, but I dont know if it is neccesary for a 75 shot, or less. The key here is reliability, I do not want to stress the motor more than I have to. So if the DP would be better, Im willing to spend the extra few bucks for it. But if it is complete overkill, and I would be fine with a Zex, Id rather go that route, especially for the ease of transferability from car to car, as I may sell this car soon, and if I do, Im only going to run the 50 shot on the new car, because I dont want to upgrade the clutch and get into all that other bs. So please give me your opinions on what you think would be better for me. Thanks.

EDIT- This probably goes in FI, sorry, move it if ya want to.

Well, I am no expert at all when it comes to nitrous, but, a direct port and a fogger system are pretty similar aren't they ? a fogger system mixes with the gas at the injectors, correct ? hence making a "fog" mixture, where it gets the name a fogger system. I think the only advantage as far as installing goes, is that there is no drilling or tapping of your block. Am i right ? I am not 100% sure on any of this really. But they are my educated guesses.
direct port is better for those who want to run big shots like 75 HP shots and up ..probably more difficult to install...drilling and tapping required to each cylender..
single wet fogger are better for smaller shots...75 and below typically...pretty easy to install.

The person I am ordering the DP kit from is tapping the mani for me, and bending the hard lines. I need to know which kit is right for me, not how they work.

well you kno the pros and cos of a single fogger rite...if not ill tell you
single fogger wet set up
pros: cheaper
easy install
cons: most of the shot will go into the 1st cylinder
and also mess up your IACV "$250" at the dealer
not much power out of it
directport wet setup
pro: great power gains
equally distributed
more tunable
cons: more tuning involved
cost more
harder to install
goodbye gas LOL

ok well do you want to spray 75shots and higher? thats what the question boils down to...if you want to spray 75 and less then a single wet fogger is right for you.

How does it mess up the IACV valve? Also, more gas will also go into the #4 cylinder, along with more nitrous, so the #4 cylinder will make more power than the rest, but shouldnt be leaner than the rest.

i think your counting the cylinders in the wrong order.. and having a wet setup will get gasoline in the IACV.. ive seen it happen alot.. perferably by expierience.. and after i sold my single fogger set up .. every1 else had the same problem as me down the line..its cylinder 1

getting gasoline in the IACV sounds logical, however i personally believe that it results from spraying larger shots...smaller shots wont use as much nitrous/gas mixture and wont have as much gas pass by the iacv....if your getting a good deal with the direct port, go for it because you will get the best / even flow of nitrous fuel out of all the different spraying kits
I have a 75 wet single fogger shot, but eventually I want to upgrade to direct port. I think its more powerful, and you'll see bigger gains from it. Direct port nitrous system with the skunk 2 IM... WERD!
