Default trunk has taken on water

I bought my wife a '91 LS the other day and the night before last we had a big rain storm. I went to look in the trunk area and found standing water on the upper right side, was dry the day before. Now, my question is, is this something common in 90-93 integs? I ask because my old 91 had the same problem, but it was much worse, so I'd liketo fix this one before it gets worse! Thanks for any help you can give me!

if youre talkin about the water drainway when the trunk opens on the sides... its not a problem. but if youre finding water IN your trunk.. thats not normal at all.

I had this problem in my 94 LS. First off I drilled a few holes in the lowest portion of the trunk with a small drill bit to let the water out. Then I removed all the sound deadning material while I was at it. After all the water had drained and the trunk was nice and clean I started to take apart the rear plastic panels and looked for the drain tubes from the moon roof that are at the sides of the car where you will see these 2 little vents. After you find these tubes, trace them back to the moon roof and disconnect it at both ends. Get the end of the tube closest to the moon roof and get an air compressor to send a surge of air through there and see if it goes all the way through with no restrictions. I had a bug in mine which caused the water to overflow and which caused the trunk to be filled with water everytime it rained. It could also be the vents or the taillights that could be the problem if the back bumper was improperly installed or the gaskets on the taillights were bad due to an accident or something. I found out mine was also leaking from the air vent because I sat in the trunk with a flashlight while my gf hosed down the car which would be a good idea to see exactly where the leak is coming from.

Most common problem if your taillight gaskets. I make them! Check my sig for a link to all the happy customers that I served. Their leaks have stopped from my gaskets

Edit: Just read you need them for a G2, sorry. I make them for G3 only.
