Default h22 in hatch!!

what up guys i have a 92 civic si hatch, and i was thinking about swapping an h22 in there, but some people tell me not to because of suspension problems, ( the motor is too heavy ) plus it will be a daily driver. if anyone that knows if any of this is true please let me know thanx alot guys
is there anything else u would have to change if i wanted the h22 in my hatch?

You might want to check the hybrid section, they will probably be able to answer your questions better.

Yea go right ahead and toss that h22 in there. The H22 is not that much heaver than the Bseries... like 70lbs. The h22 civic drives REALLY nice!! I have put one in my buddies 96 civic, and that car FLIES!

I've seen 2 hatchs that had an H22 in them, but the only down fall is that they couldn't catch 1st or 2nd gear when they tried to race. They would just spin their tires, so they would just have to do a rollin start each time

The scary part is that their is plenty of room for a turbo.

My friend had an H22 in his hatch. It was very quick with a few bolt ons. The only problem is he kept breaking axles. The problem ended up being the guy who put it in did not center it perfect and the weight was distributed unevenly. So if you do it make sure you have someone that has done it before. I have a fully built H22 and that is what i was gonna do but i don't want to take the chance just yet.

WTF? Who ever is telling you this, please smack 'em for me. They don't what they are talking about.

Hit up the Hybrid forum using the search function. We talk about H22 pretty much day in and day out to be honest.

I don't think Lude owners up in here like the fact their motors are going into lil POS Civics.

I think lude owners really think its kewl our engines make other cars do 13 and lower, and if we wreck our ludes, we can just drop our motor into one of your "Pos civics" jp

but until then we're back at the 15.5 mark (stock anyhow), and if we stole a civic motor and stuck it in ours... we'd be running what.. 19's?

y are there so many ppl giving out such stupid information all the time......
do not tell someone else something that you aer unsure about cause then theres 2 ppl that dont konw what they are talking about and then it keeps on spreading.....
i know allot but not everyting about all these car, not that many ppl do. But i sure as hell dont go around missinforming ppl with my made up stories and the he said she said BS
A H22 fit in a varity of cars ( integ, del sol, civic, crx ) but its not a plug and play u have to use differnt mounts etc (easy enought)
We rana bone stock H22 ina civic ex a few months back and went 13.9 on really shitty kumho v700's

The h22 is a great motor for a swap and it hanles awesome!!
