Default Shift light question

I am thinking about purchasing a shift light, but before I do I wanted to hear what you guys recommend or have used before.

First one is

So has anyone used one of these before ? If so how is the quality of it. Is rpm adjuster good ? Does it move easily ? Is it accurate ? If I go with this style its either between perform and auto meter, but perform is gonna cost less because it don't need the pills.

Second style

Anyone have one of these ? I have more questions about this one but I want to see first if anyone has one.

So those are basically the 2 styles, anyone else using something different or have any other recommendations, if so which one are you running and how does it work ?

Does the **** turn really easily ? Just wondering because once I put it in this spot, I won't be able to get to eat easily. Also does it ever just go on by itself ? I read that some guy was having a problem with his just going on when ever. Also how bright is it ?

The **** turns easily man... I had mine in a tough spot.

Never had a "mis blink" sounds like a wiring problem, like the ground not being good cuz when I hooked my ground up it would blink like 2 times... but it never did it after the install.

Its badass. Its too bright.. lol. I got the yellow cover on it and it was just right..

Its high quality man, just cuz it isn't 500 bucks (hehhee) like other ****, doesn't mean it isn't in the same league!

Mine is wired to a relay and then vtec solenoid and the damn thing goes off all the time at idle. seems to always turn on at correct rpm though. I havent tried to diagnose yet.

i too had the proform shift light, i bought it for cost reasons (got it on ebay for cheap) overall i think it's worth it. i always had the misblinks at idle, sounds like a problem others have with it as well. also maybe it was just mine but i think the sticker on the back was put on wrong. like the rpms didn't follow what the sticker said

so what i did was just adjust it little by little without using the sticker to find out where i wanted the ****
still a good buy, the ones with the pills are too expensive
