questions about EVAP Purge Valve
What does the EVAP Purge Valve do?
Does it have anything to do with that noise (sounds like fuel pump priming) when I turn the key to ON position.
Ever since my swap, the "priming" doesn't stop like it normally did before.
(Usually when I turn the key to ON position, I hear the "priming noise" and a few seconds later it STOPS).

left over fuel vapors are diverted to the charcoal can by the EVAP when car is off. when car is on evap closes that valve and fuel only to the injectors. EVAP is a solenoid, ON and OFF... evap is not needed to run car.
does this EVAP solenoid make a noise thats loud enough to hear? Is it the sound when I turn the key to the "ON" position and goes silent after a few seconds?
If someone can answer these stupid questions that I have, it can help me figure out what problems I might have with my swap....thank you.

I think the evap purge valve opens to draw a small amount of fresh air thru the charcoal bed, into the engine. When it's running. That's how the engine burns the gas that's trapped in the charcoal.
When you sit in the car, you hear more than just the sound of the pump itself. A big part of the 'fuel pump' noise is really the gas flowing thru the fuel rail past the injectors. Maybe that's what's different?

it makes a click sound. you can test it by simply taking it off and connecting some wires to it and hooking it up to the battery, it should click if its working properly.

I had one fail ('98 Accord) and it clicked when I put power to it. But when I checked it with a MityVac it didn't actually open. It wasn't until I had the new valve to compare that I noticed it was kinda weak/wimpy clicking sound.
