Default injen shortram installation

so my buddy and i took my airbox out and put on my new injen shortram and we connected everything annd we start my car up and it wants to stall and idles at 200 rpms.. the whole engine shakes like it wants to stall..everytime we rev it it ends up stalling.. we got it working once but i had no low end and it didn't sound right.. can anyone help me out as to what we might have done wrong? one of the pipes raching from the intake to the valve is really short and a stock clamp would not fit onto it and it barely on, i'm not sure if this is the reason? also we lost some coolant while connecting the new pipes.. you're supposed to remove the solenoid correct? do i reconnect it somewhere?

this is a 92 Si

Are there any websites with step by step 4th gen shortram installation

Remove the solenoid? WTF? All that you do is take off the airbox, take off the airbox arm and replace it with the injen intake. There is no way in hell you should lose coolant unless you took something that you weren't supposed to off.

you replace the pipes with new ones.. you must remove the pcv pipe or else there would just be a hanging loose plug in the engine.. coolant isn't the problem, I think it is something with the solenoid? it's not on right now, i think your supposed to put it back into a harnass and plug the vacuum holes? http://www.lightningmotorsport...l.htm

Mine is still attached and plugged in. Do you have a 4 or 5g?

Yeah put that back in. Now I see what you meant with the coolant. It's just so you can take out the metal tubes that are in there stock. But put the solenoid back in. That should fix your problems. That seems like a lot more steps than are necessary.

? i don't understand what happened? why did you remove the solenoid? on a 4 g, you unhook the tubes from the intake open the air box, take the filter out and take the 2 or 3 10 mm's out, and then just unhook the airtube and pull, where did taking off the solenoid come in?

injen instructions.. it's fixed now though.. but when i plug in the solenoid my rpm's drop to like 300 so i took it back out and it idles 6-700? it runs fine without the solenoid but i still doesnt notice any gains, it's just louder? It said to take off the solenoid because there was a brocket underneath that had to be removed to mount the intake.. i guess i was just supposed to MOVE the solenoid not REMOVE like the directions say.. but that 5th gen instructions say something about removing the vacuum lines and plugging them?
