alternator on D16

my buddys alternator went out on his crx. he was wondering does he have to take the IM off to remove the alternator? or can it be removed another way? thanks.

it should just wiggle out. theres on bolt that hold it still and also the bolt it rotates on needs to be take out from behind it.

u should be able to take it out from the front of the engine, right at the crank pulley through the wheel well

don't forget to disconnect the battery !! I did mine a few years back and was a dumb *** and forgot. I did get to see a nice spark shower display
