Burning Oil Like Crazy
Im burning oil like crazy. Every 3 weeks I have to put in more oil. I use Castrol 5w-30. There are no leaks that I can tell. No evidence on the garage floor. Could it be my headers installed wrong? I have SS DC Headers 4-2-1. Plus my engine light keeps coming on.

Model Trim Year?
Very Important.
Could be you Oxygen sensor if you just recently put on your headers. Recheck your wires. Bad piston rings too could be a cause. What colors the smoke? Does it BLOW smoke?

Get the CEL code first, and go from there.
If you suspect bad valve seals or rings, you can pull the plugs and check for oil fouling, or the dipstick and check for oil burns (someone said that in a prev. thread, I think).
Other possible problems are a bad PCV valve. Pull it off and give it a shake, if you don't hear a rattling it's likely stuck/gone bad.
But get that code first.

Yea if you can't see blue smoke out the exhaust and it's not leaking, the PCV valve could be a very likely suspect. My dads '89 Accord SE-i was going through hella oil, especially if you went for awile on the highway, which we thought strange cuz it's a rebuilt motor with only 11k miles on it. Also got a CEL when on a semi-long highway trip, and got a code for primary oxygen sensor. Got to looking around, pulled the PCV valve and sure enough, the only thing in there is a crooked spring. The whole little plunger part was completely gone and you could see straight through the whole valve. Replaced the PCV valve and cleared the ECU code, and the oil level hasn't moved one bit, no CEL and no codes. Important little thing!! My moms '94 Accord EX was also doing the exact same thing for a long time, but all of a sudden it just kinda fixed itself, lol. May have just been stuck or something, who knows.
