This happened a bit ago, and I did a search, but I couldn't find much...
In neutral, when you push the clutch pedal, everything sounds normal. But when you take your foot off the clutch, I can hear something else, and it gets louder... It doesn't sound smooth... With the pedal in, the sound is nice, but with it out, it doesn't sound quite as smooth, like something is loose somewhere. The car only has 33,000 miles on it, I think about 23,000 on current OEM clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing... But I'm worried it might be the throwout bearing... Anyone else have a similar situation? And lets say it is the throwout bearing, just how bad can this be?
Or maybe I'm just paranoid... But I know I never heard it before.. And I've been driving around with it for a while. You can't really hear it while its in gear, but then that could be because I have to hit the gas and the car is just louder. But at standstill, I can hear it...
Its kind of like a rumbling noise...

Wow, you replied before I could edit. But its kind of like a chattering, but not quite as loud. When my foot is off the clutch, the pitch gets deeper with this rumble sound.. Mild chatter.....
Ok, let me elaborate some more... The clutch engages fine, its smooth. BUT...
A few months ago when I pulled it out of storage, when I would let off the clutch, it wasn't smooth. It was like, hmm, how do I say it... Like something wasn't well lubricated and there was friction when I was taking my foot off the clutch. I was about to go on a 3000 miles road trip the next day, so I took it to Acura, and the mechanic said he looked at the clutch cylinder, the fork, and it was fine. And it was, I guess just being in storage, I just needed to hit the clutch alot.
Wondering if this could have anything to do with it..

either the throw out bearing
which is cheap ( get OEM )
or the main shaft bearing on the clutch housing side

also check
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=596873
if u need to replace that bearing its like $24
I changed the other bearing on the main shaft just in case...old one seemed to have excessive play that one was like $42
not sure what stock TO bearings are going for but shoud be around $20 ??
or u may need a whole clutch kit

Doh.... I even read that thread, but I guess I didn't read the posts after the first one very carefully. I kinda read the new tranny part and thought it wasn't the same problem. But the other stuff, yea, that sounds pretty similar to me.. Except I can't hear it while the car is moving. I better get into the dealer before my warranty is out... I have no time, nor the experience to drop a tranny to fix the throw out bearing... Or main shaft bearing..
