Default koni yellow/ GC install -- just want to double check

GC instructions say to cut (i think) the metal dust cover, but what about the rubber dust boot? those who have done this install before please clarify. just want to make sure the dust cover/boot doesnt hit the threaded GC perch. thx. pics would be helpful too

I removed my dust covers and boots sompletely to assure no interferance, but iff you do alot of winter driving I recommend not doing that because of all the salt.

I see everything arrived . . .Great.

The reason to cut them is to allow for more lowering and reduced travel. IF you plan to slam the car cut them all. If you don't I would still trim the plastic one as well but since it is plyable it will be less of an issue than the meatcl one.

I always trim them all when I do GC installs.

well..here it is...i hope there's nothing majorly wrong w/ it. i'm not sure if the hydrolic area is suppose to be showing like that but i just followed the GC instructions to cut the dust cover and boot.

oh and I know the bolt studs on the cap should be lined up w/ the fork but there is some free play w/ the cap; it can turn somewhat freely...hope that's normal
