Koni install question - HELP!
Hey i just installed my koni yellows yesterday and i think i might have installed them wrong. Ive got the regular ots koni yellows with GC coilovers and right now i have the koni perch sitting on the shock followed by the thin silver ring, and then the coilover sleeve. However today i found out that i might not even need the perches with ground controls....is this true? Do i need the silver ring if the GC sleeves fit right on the yellow c-clip or does the silver ring go on the c-clip and then the GC sleeve? Koni's installation directions suck!

Well I know that you don't use the Koni perch when you have GC's installed, but I'm not sure about installing that silver ring or not. I would guess just put on the sleeve both with or without the silver ring and see which way fits better. I'm sure someone else can offer more insight.

so you still have to install the silver ring onto the c-clip on the shock body, and then the sleeve goes over the silver ring, correct?

You mean you have the perches sitting directly on the little c-clip? If silver rings came w/ your shocks, then that's bad. The perches need to sit on the silver rings, which sit on the c-clips. Since you have GC's you don't need the perches at all. But if you have the perches sitting directly on the c-clips then you need to correct that setup.

From what I understand, either the front or rear Koni perches (one or the other, but not both) for Civics and Integras were redesigned so that the perch sits directly on the c-clip, w/o any separate silver ring. But like I said, if yours came w/ the silver rings, they need to be between the c-cllip and the perch.
