Horn not working and SRS light on?
My horn dosen't work and the SRS light is one. I think I need a new wire spool thing. It resides in the steering console, between the steering wheel and dash.
Does anyone know what it's called? I checked all other connections and ran the honda diagnostic. So I feel confident it's this wire harness thing that allows the steering wheel to be turned without the wires getting messed with. Where can I get one besides a honda dealer?

Cable reel! thanks.... yea I need to investigate it more. Took it partly apart the other weekend but didn't get too far.
How much does that sort of thing cost? and is the work something I can do? (will my airbag go off or anything if I remove the steering wheel?)
SRS code? Well when I checked the ECU for codes nothing came up for the SRS as far as I know. Is there a different Diagnostic computer to use. I used an actual Honda diagnostic hand held thing.
Thanks again

This may sound like an odd question. Do your brake lights work?

That's not a very definite answer.

Actually, if your car is a 96 or newer, you should be able to check the srs code with the Honda PGM Tester. If not, trip the light the old fashion way...jump wire.
