Accord idles at 2 grand

Accord idles at 2 grand
My friend got his oil changed at some oil shop 10 days ago and now his car has been acting funny. When we turn on his car... his car starts to heat up and idle at 2000+ grand rpms till it gets warm and the oil light turns on. Any ideas? Could it be because of excess or thick oil?
