My question is this: Other then low oil what would cause the oil light to come on?
1. could it be low pressure?
2. Could it be the oil pump failing?
3. Could it have something to do with vtec?
4. Or am i just one of the lucky ones that got an F'd up ecu?
Any other answers that i may have missed in the questions, let me know please.

i had the same thing happen when i first did my swap and i was also having a problem with the car not going into vtec, so i ended up getting that engine cleaner that you put in your oil run your car for like 5 minutes then change your oil right after.
After i did that the light came on but then it would turn off a few seconds later. So i decided to check the oil pressure switch on the car, that was ok. my oil pan was dented a little from the shipping so i took it off and pounded out the dent and is what took care of my problem with the oil light any vtec.
there are a few things to check, also if your having a problem with vtec take off the vtec solenoid clean it out.
