i got a 02 civic Si. i purchased an autometer air\fuel ratio gauge. i can get it to power on but i need to know how to get it to read my air\fuel ratio? where do i hook up the purple wire ? pls help me out... thanks....

 

usually it connects to the o2 sensor, primary.

 

The gauges arent worth much past a pretty light show anyways.

Yup, he is correct. They arent accurate at all, and could be dangerous when it comes to tunning.

 

send it to the primary o2 wire on the ecu

 

the gauges are fine.

but hooking up a gauge to a relguar o2 sensor is pretty worthless. hook it up to a wideband, and you're money.

 

thanks for all the help on those who posted. the thing is i hook it up to the o2 sensor... (white wire)... the light goes crazy.... it swings in the orange range and one green line is also lit. this is when its at idle.... is this how its supposed to be ? thanks for the help.....

 

It will swing from lean to rich out of wide open throttle. put the gas pedal to the floor and it should stabilize in the green somewhere. White is correct on most others.
