Im looking at an auction for a Crane stage 12 camshaft (Part# 251-0012). Supposedly this guy had it in his 93 Civic EX, and I have a 97 Civic EX. I can't find application charts for this cam to figure out if it is compatible with my motor or not. Thanks guys!

Dont see why not, I believe both have the D16Z6....correct me if the 93 dont.

Wait i thought the ex's had d16z6'z and the 97 ex's had the d16y7's. I dont know if there is any drastic head changes though.

Now you've got my confused again, it should fit since both are d-series VTEC's right? If it doesn't, I have a Crane Cam stage12 on my hands if someone wants it. Please bring good new and tell me that it fits!

 

the 93 has teh Z6, the 97 has teh Y8, the cams are supposed to be interchangable, but the timing will be slightly off so you will absolutely need an adjustable cam gear (you'd want one anyway w/ an aftermarket cam) HTH
