Falken Azenis quick question?
I can tell you from my experience that the tires are not bad at all in the rain. I autocrossed on them in a downpour and felt minimal loss of grip. Just avoid standing water and you should be ok.
If you do a search you can find many many threads about these tires.

They suck in standing water! They are non directional, and if you look at the tread pattern you'll always have driverside wanting to hydroplane more.
If the ground is just wet its fine (don't need to disperse water away from tire)

Search would give you answers, and the majority say no but if you drop them to 20psi some say it can be decent for street tires.

These are good tires all around not the best in the rain but good. If you want a harder compound go with Ziex even worse in the rain I think
they suck in the rain just to let u know.. i break traction at every single stop light. but other weather condition .. they aare great.. love them for corners and even drag racing, just lower the psi to like 15 ..and you launch at like 5500 rpm all day..

They are fine in the rain as long as you can control yourself. S-03's might be a little better only because they are a little lighter, but I would go so far as to say the Falkens have comparable grip.... at about half the cost.

The car will shift when you hit standing water, but that's true w/any tyre.
On the street, I have no problem w/Azenis unless we're negotiating standing water over a distance of several feet. As the tyres wear down, the problem with standing water gets worse, of course.
I wouldn't worry about rain and water, and just drive reasonably for the weather conditions.

Well Put.
I am just curious (not trying to start anything here) But those who say they "SUCK" in the rain are you talking well worn tires or like 60%or better?
Recently, Well back in May and June... We had LOTS of rain Like weeks on end. Just looking at the tires I thought they would be "HELL" in the rain, but to my surprise they were quiet managable. Of course we are talking about tires with less than 2000 miles of street driving and no track time. I have hit about 4-6 inches of standing water with no problem but I was only going about 50. Took me by surprise. Now by the same tken I don't just go looking for water to run through (road crap is not nice looking on PY he he he)
Ther are MUCH better rain or wet weather tires out there, but very little that will give such great performance in the dry weather IMO.

The reason we are getting such differing opinions is because "in the rain" can mean a lot of things. It all depends on the conditions and the road. If it's raining hard enough that your wipers can't keep the water off your windshield, you're in trouble. But that is probably true for must tires.
At highway speeds in a decent downpour/thunderstorm, I was not pleased.
At VIR in the pouring rain I was getting wheelspin at 100 mph accellerating down the back straight. I didn't really like that feeling, so I called the session short so I could play another day.
