I'm working on tuning up my car, its been 2 years since I've own my EG and I wanted to change my gear oil, I'm not sure what or which gear oil is recommeded or which works best for my car, (B16A1)
GM Synchromesh is the best ****
Trust me no gear lube can match up to it. Maybe not even redline. It saved my tranny from those horrible grinds. Please use it, I highly recommend it.

yes you can pick some up at the GM dealer... make sure you get that round circular bottle that looks like a cone. That is the one that has all the friction modifiers.

No, it is only best if your Synchromesh is shot. Use Honda MTF if your tranny has no problems. And if it doesn't, then I'm happy for you and I wish I was on the same boat! Damn honda b-series trannies...

I've used GM sycromesh, works great, but I still grind on 3rd gear when I kick it. maybe its my trannie, well this stuff works good, shifting feels so much more smoother then before.
Im going to try that GM stuff i tried REDLINE and it is ****** junk makes tranny grinds go away for a bit then bam tranny blows. im using 20w50 Mobile one synthetic and its alot better shifts smoth and rides better. Im going to try the GM stuff and ill let u guys know
i've got GM synchromesh in my car....a little over 43k on the car and it still shifts like butter.
i love it
just watch what price you're getting charged at the GM dealer....i paid $9 a quart, which i didn't think was too bad.
part # 12345349 non friction modified.
looks like this...
