What to do with this hose?

When I was changing my oil today I noticed that the previous owner had connected the hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake arm with electrical tape. I took off the electrical tape and saw that was the only thing connecting the two. I tried fitting the hose over the fitment on the intake arm but the hose diameter is too small, so I just put some duct tape on it to hold it and refastened the clamp. I'll probably end up getting an intake for the car anyway, but how am I supposed to connect it otherwise?
Try to find a short length of metal tubing that has a slightly larger OD than the ID of the fitting on the intake arm, and use it to connect that fitting to the tubing from the valve cover. Be sure to securely clamp both ends.

Metal tubing from what? Anything specific?

Unfortunately, no. If you can't find something lying around, I would check Lowes or Home Depot.
