My Mph gauge does not work well please helpp!!
Today in the morning i drove my car to get some food and I notice that my mph gauges is slow to react...ill be driving for sure pass 60 mph and its stock on 40 mph....also when i slow down at a stop sign....it get stuck on 20 mph...and i have to hit the plastic part of the gauge to make it go down to 0 mph....all my other gauges work fine except the mph....i have a auto 96 ls....can anyone help me?
Have you ever installed/tried to install aftermarket gauges if so you may have push the needle to hard on and ruind the speedometer gauge, if any check engine lights appear you may have a faulty speed sensor.
is there any way to fix it...i did install some indiglow gauges.....but it worked after installed them...but now it doenst work...

your problem is that the tape (or whatever adhessive you used) has come lose from the guage back and now the guage faces are coming up. this will cause your needle to stick to the guage face and not be able to move. your best bet is to take those guages out or re-adhesive them from time to time.
Im not too up on the indiglo stuff but I have had
a few spedos go out on me. In your case I would
try the glue thing, and if that dosent work get a new
cluster. It is hard to fix it if it goes out and you would
need another cluster anyways.

In response to this, how hard would it be to replace a speed sensor. I know where it is and all, my speedometer went out when the JDM ITR went it and I think the install went screwy.

look around the distributor area to make sure no wires are loose. It happened to me but with my tachmeter instead of the odometer

Wish I could help with that one, but I always just swaped clusters
and it fixed the problem.

either reattach yoru gauge cluster faceplate or tear them off.
the only other item in mind was you rolled back your speedo clock and something broke.
