Default old skool AWD ZC lightweight project!! need help

Well, I'm new here but I've owned 2 honda/acura vehicles before. One being an Integra and the other being my very first car, a 1985 Honda Civic 1500S. My old civic 1500s had a 1st gen Integra ZC dohc engine with Tokico Illuminas and 400lb springs. I bought it from a guy who used it in Auto-X.

Now I have an idea for my next project. I went to get me a Civic 1500s again because of their sporty feel, light weight, and sporty look. I was planning on installing a ZC dohc in it again but having it powered by dual 44 mikunis. i know of Mugen making a manifold for the ZC. I do have experience in sidedraft carbs becuase of my neverending hobby collecting Datsun 510s.

Now for the Tricky part. I wanted to rig/install the AWD system from the same year civic WAGON. Now what I want to know is if the AWD tranny from the sohc wagon would fit the dohc ZC block? as for the rear components, such as suspension/rear end, Im pretty sure I can faricate some adapters or braces.

Basically, I wanted a:
-1500-1700 lb car(gutted)
-running a DOHC ZC w/ 44 Mikuni Carbs (roughly 145 hp)
-grippin ASSphault with its AWD transmission and rear end off Civic wagon

Constructive criticism welcome. the end.

I believe the answer is yes. I have seen a number of ZC AWD wagons.

A very reliable source told me about an AWD CRX as well.

tranny parts / setup on the AWD cars is not meant to handle big power or STRESS so you may spend a shitload of time on the buildup only to have it brake repeatedly from barely above normal abuse.

would it be too hard to beef up the awd components? and at a 145hp, that it might be able to take it.

what about the 4th Gen AWD wagons? Is the set-up stronger or the same. I mean I'll only be putting out about 145hp and from factory those wagons have about 90hp(?).

Also, I know the AWD system is real time, not all time. You know .....when front wheels loose traction, the rear wheels start working. Would their be a way to have all four wheels working all the time?

I would post pics of my old 1500S but I can't find any. I can't find any for sale either, the same color(Grey/lt. Grey) though.

besides welding?

One of my old 510 wagons had a welded diff and it was a hassle dragging that thing in low gears.

PS: anyone know any good tech/pic sites about this generation Civic? I know there popular among the Autocrossers but cant find any sites.
