Default Weirdest thing...

The volume of my music flucuates while I'm driving. When I slow down to a stop the volume goes down a little. Then when I speed up again the volume increases?

Any idea what might cause this? I've heard there is an option on some decks to do this. I don't think it's the deck because it just started happening and I didn't change the settings on my headunit. I'm thinking it has something to do with the battery and/or alternator? This volume change just started happening after I installed my 2 12's and 800 watt pioneer amp. Any help is appreciated thanks.

possible you dont have enough amps to run your setup. Car alternator produces more while on the throttle. but when at idle it does down. does ur lights dim down?

I've heard of people having that problem. A capacitor might help.

Sounds like a battery alternator problem. Go with the previous post about if your lights dim as well then brighten.

Is it a Pioneer deck? If it is, keep pressing the "Audio" button until the menu with "ASL" (automatic sound levelizer) appears. Press left or right to adjust the sensitivity of the ASL from Low-Mid-High or press down or up to turn On or Off.

The ASL is also used on factory Mark Levinson systems from Lexus.

Factory Miatas do it too. Check for a sound-leveling option in your deck like ScareyH22A said. most likely your problem lies there.
