details..85k miles, mostly under 5 mile drives

When sitting parked after a short drive, the idle jumps back and forth from 850-1500 with no stereo/lights on..Under Drive or Reverse, it does not do this.

 

My 90Teg does this when idle was out of specs.
Readjust your idle.

 

Maintenence..pretty much only the required 30k/60k stuff has been done, with little bits here and there. It will go in for the 90k tune up soon (including timing belt..rite)

The only big thing I can think of is that the injectors have never been flushed, throttle never been cleaned.. Pretty sure it's not electrical.

 

This is an auto 94 LS. stock motor (strut bars only) My mom is the main driver. I haven't noticed anything weird when I drive it. Idle start is around 1700, warm goes down to maybe 850 or so. Brakes don't seem to do anything to idle. When AC goes on, the idle drops a little bit for a second, then goes right back up to normal.

no work other than an oil change, since 74k miles or so. oil level is good.

 

I can do some basic stuff, took auto class at school...

I have never experienced this idle jumping, but my mom says it's happened twice early in the morning yesterday and today.

Let me know if you have any suggestions?
