Default whats this??

ok..on the a6, b16a, ZC, has this 2 pronge thingy thats right below or right next to the oil filter. its green with 2 pronge sticking out..on the y8, they changed it into a sensor plug. i dont have a better pic to show you..but heres a pic..


the 2 pronge looks like that 1 pronge shown on the pix..right next to the oil filter. they dont have it on the z6..that why im curious what is it.

coolant temp sensor moved from there to the thermostat housing on the z6.

yeah it is...that switch runs the cooling fan.

i just looked on the z6 block, i dont see any coolant temp switch..is the plug brown? how can i find out what year my block is?

I i believe that is the oil pressure sensor, thats what will make you low oil light come on, ihave been wrong b4. scratch that i was looking at the single prong, that is your fan switch.
