airbag laws in cali
As far as I know, it's illegal to disconnect a perfectly fine working airbag. Pretty sure it's a federal law, so it doesn't just apply to Cali.

I'm pretty sure he's right. Basically you cannot remove anything thats a safety device on a car if you are still going to use it on public highways... like 3rd brake lights, air bags, seat belts, drivers...
