Default My RPM odometer is going haywire....need help!!!

My RPM odometer is going haywire. When I am cruising or punching it past 4000 RPM the RPM needle jumps forward uncontrollably. Although this has no effect on the performace....I am still paranoid that I am messing something up.
This problem happened to me before & I found out it was a loose ground wire. Tighten it and everything worked fine. NOw it is happening again.....and I can't figure out why.

Any suggestions? Bad gauge cluster?
