Sorry its the RPMs not the speedo. Cruising between 3k and 4k rpms my RPM jumps around as well as my vtec controller rpm readout. So its not the gauge cluster since 2 different things are getting the same messed up signal. How do I go about troubleshooting the RPM signal? The rpm bounces up and down by around 200-300 rmps instantly so somethin isnt right.

Similar kinda problem with my gf's car. Turned out to be a loose connection with the lead

 

could be the dizzy going bad.
