Well... The window crank holes on the door frame are all chewed out, and buggered up. I was wondering how many other people have had this problem, and how they dealt with it. I am willing to purchase a door, but really don't want to have to.
Oh and if you fabricated any kind of new mount I would love to see some pics.

Would it be possible to use some big fender washers to hold it in place?
When I have to replace window regulators I use big washers and
a bolt with a nylon locking nut instead of a rivet which some cars have..

That is the way it was when I got the car, and it got to the point to where I had to tear it all out and close the window manually. I tried to reinstal it with new washers, but there is just too much meatle gone from the door.
My friend had that problem with his 95 coupe. We tried washers and all sorts of stuff, but it didn't work too long. I think the only way to fix it is get another door.
My 89 started to get rough to roll up or down too, but i replaced the mechanism before it started to chew up the door. Bad design on Honda's part I guess.

Anyone have a pic of this, I don't understand what exactly your talking about. I have seen how the mechanism works (I put 4D power windows in a CRX), but what is breaking?

It is the door itself that has gone bad on me. The owner of the car befor I hade it had it repaired it with washers, but I think the mechinism itself was bent, and continued to srew up the door. I eventually ripped it out, threw it away, and raised the door glass up manually. I was hoping somone may have fabricated an entire plate, but I doubt it. I have a thred in for a new door for an 88 CRX so if anyone has one just IM me.

This really sux, because now I dont only have my OBD1 conversion to complete, But I also have to do my water pump, timing belt, and rear wheel bearings to take acre of.
