Default quietest exhaust that doesnt sacrifice power

i am selling my turbo stuff... going back to n/a for the school year. i have a d16z6 in a 94 hatch. i want something as quiet as i can possably get it. but i also want something with as much power oppurtunity as possable. anybody have a suggestion for a happy medium on that. i have been running 3" with no cat and 22" resonator to es oval..... that wasnt too loud on boost..... but a touch louder than i want now. thanks

Your exhaust set up description seems to be low key. I had an Es oval with a carsound cat and a resonator, it seemd okay, kind of loud at higher rpm or course. Just get another resonator to add to your set up, maybe a 14" one. I made good amount of power still with the Es oval set up.

The SMS Products exhaust seems nice and quiet, while still being high-flow.

if u want quiet and cheap just get a dynomax turbo muffler rear section for the hatch. i'm running one on my ek and i love how quiet and stealthy it is.

youll lose a bit with an Apex'i world sport but i really think its a good exaust for the street, because its almost completely silent when your just cruzin around town, but when you get in to it its a nice full tone.

although i went out of my header for a day, and there is quite a diffrence between the two interms of power. i think there was some dyno of open header compared to a world sport and there was a 14 hp diffrence on an ITR motor.

thats alot of talking but in the long run i wouldnt trade the world sport for anything.

Send user SMSP an IM.

And that was Jawad that gained 14whp going from his WS to open header.

Yes, and a straight thru design that doesn't rob power. I'm happy with mine and the power it makes.

i just hunted down a picture of it. i think i am in love. but arent greddy exhaust usually loud? remember i have a cx hatch where you can hear everything. i will be doing a lot of highway driving this year with school and all... about a 2800-3300 rpm range crusing along. this is why i want something quiet as possable when crusing around. so the tone of the exhaust isnt drowning out my radio.

anybody running thermal exhaust? i have a d16z6 by the way. might do an LS swap pretty soon? not sure yet..depends on how well the z6 keeps running?

Not the SP. It's the quiet one. I've had mine over a year and me and the wife just drove 700 miles this weekend in my hatch to a race and even with the back stripped, windows up, and raining I could still carry on a conversation with her at a normal tone unlike some exhausts i've heard which give you a headache. I got mine at Nopi and they had it in stock and to my door in less than a week along with many other parts in the same order.

another exhaust i find very attractive, and hear it is quiet is the dc twin loop or whatever it is called...... but it looks like the desing would hurt performance b/c of the loops... any input on this?
