power gians + 3in exhaust
roughly, how much power am i looking to gain, going from a 98 turbo lude (t3/t4) 5 psi with a stock exhaust to a full 3in from the cat back???
or am i going to loose power...
2.5in downpipe to factory cat...BTW

get a test pipe... get a 2.5-3 inch regardless.........cuz u know ur gonna want to boost it more eventually!
u porbably wont gain too much the way u are right now cuz ur running such low boost but it will help spool up a little bit faster over using the stock stuff.

i sure hope so...cause right now w/ my stock exhaust i am tuned at 180whp @5psi on a h22...which to me pretty much sucks ***...
i am only making like 30 more whp than a stock prelude..so i am hoping that my stock exhaust is the cause of that...and the 3in will rightfully put me to the 210 whp spot...
what do ya'll think???

my downpipe got down to 1 3/4 inch (temp piece a shop bent for me 
). i made 3" from turbo back and i bet i picked up easy 15whp+

I hope its worth it to run full 3" on my <10psi stock b16. I already bought the 3" Kteller exhaust and 3" cat, and I'm having the 3" downpipe made now I am trying to buy most of my stuff big, so in case I go all out, the only thing needing upgrading is the block.

don't you think that i am suffering from too much backpressure going from the 2.5in downpipe to a factory cat and factory exhaust... i can't think of anything else...
being that i checked compression, timing, exhaust manifold and down pipe blockage, tightness of rubber couplers and vac lines...

At that psi you won't make much gains going from stock but will certainly help the turbo spool better, enough reason for me to go bigger IMO. However DO get rid of the cat as its a big restriction expecially for turbo apps. You'll probably find that with your current setup you will benefit more from getting rid of the cat than anything else.

My turbo started spooling 500 rpm sooner than with my stock exhaust and I gained 22whp at 8 psi. I have a thermal 3 inch with a 3 inch high flow cat. I paid 500 for 22 whp way worth it. It is just loud as hell.
