Default high flow cat

Hey guys what kind of high flow catalyic converters are yall running if any? What are the good brands? I still have the factory cat on my crx.Do you think its restricting my air flow? If so should i get a high flow cat or get a test pipe? thanks in advance.

I bought a Car Sound (based on all the postive reports from owners) from Hybrid Garage last Wednesday. If the guys ever ship the damn thing, i will let you know how it turns out. They may be going belly up for all I know. They aren't returning emails and you can no longer leave a message since the voicemail is full. But I digress...

Take your choice. For the money the CATCO units are very good. They offer them in most every pipe size (mine is 2.5") as either a custom fit or a stock replacement. Pricing is less than Random Tech. Bought mine with race exhaust at Meineke (car is still street legal). Summit has them in stock, btw

I'm using a CATCO direct-fit (from summit). It's a nice cat and all, but it's kinda weak. I was running rich for only about 1 month, and the honey-comb material inside has already begun to fall apart, making it rattle. They have good flow, but if I end up buying another one, it would prolly be a carsound.

BTW: Don't gut your cat or make a test pipe. It's illegal and you'll only get *maybe* a 1hp increase over a hi-flow design. Do it the right way, because we all breath the same air and I don't want to inhale your rotten egg eghaust when I'm outside jogging.

my cat wasnt in tip top shape and im poor so it was a quick fix and a minimal gain all in one. and most of the mods done to cars are illegal even just lowering it so we are all guilty. ive gotten tickets for air intakes and headers now c'mon.

Yeah i was considering gutting my cat, thought about it all day...i dont want to get in trouble let alone pollute the air, and i dont want my car smoking everywhere.I decided to get the carsound 2 1/2 catalyic converter.Doing it friday.
