Hondabond on oil pan gasket?
I switched an oil pan and reused the gasket. All surfaces were very clean.
I used hondabond on the surfaces. Does anyone think this will affect anything? Positively or negatively?
If it does it's not a big deal, I'll get a new one.. I just would like to hear a couple thoughts on this.
No leaks so far. It's been two days.

As long as the gasket is still soft. I only put the hondabond ant the flanges of the oil pump and the rear main cover as the helms recomends

yah.. I really think it is fine. The transmissions are also sealed with it, so I don't know how there could be a problem. Some nissans (like the skyline) do not have oil pan gaskets either..
