Thats all I did was just drain it cuzz the last time it was replaced was about 2 years ago by my brother inlaw. It had always ran like **** until this past sunday when I drain and fill with only 2.5 quarts. It was more like 6 quarts that came out, is this right? or did he overfill it.

Honestly, I never really paid any attention to it. I would just check to see the color but never really looked at the level
. Basicly I should be okay with 2.5 right? even though it was like 5-6 quarts that came out? with only 2.5 the levels is just perfect.

Um.. I think I put in 3 or 4 last time I did mine, don't really remember . Theres a pretty simple solution though.
1. Put in 2.5 quarts
2. Start the engine and shift through all the gears
3. Turn off the engine, check the level on the stick. If its low add more.
Make sure your cars on level ground. Normally you need to put in at least what comes out.
