10 grand to spend on an engine build up, what would you take. Explain in detail if you could please. Like what set up to get. ie cams, intake manifold etc.
This engine will be going into my drag car. 88 CRX in about six months or so. I have hit 15.9 at California Speedway, so i guess thats pretty good for a stock engine. CRX= Stock d16a6, short ram intake, 2 1/4 catback exhaust. Stock basically. The engine was rebuilt about a year ago. I hit 15.9 so i guess im a pretty good driver. I got off the topic here but I was wondering what u guys would do for an engine swap. If i do a swap, i was wonderin, do u guys think that i should go turbo or all motor baby.

I know a lot of people would go boost but I need as many replys *** possible. I havent done a search on this yet, and I know I probably get f**ked up cuz i didnt but i need some feedback. I still want to drive it around town every so often but i will still have a daily driver.

This are just some that I would do:
Ls/Vtec Turbo
B16 Turbo
B18c5 NA
B20 Vtec Turbo
B20 Vtec NA
B18c1 Turbo

If I had 10k to spend I wouldn't spend it tryin to make a honda fast.
I'd spend it on a car that was ALREADY fast. LOL, by buying a turbo 300ZX or Turbo MR2 or a Turbo Eclipse or Talon. As printed in this months GRM. Just my worthless .02 cents.

ive done that before....it gets old after the 4th or 5th motor you blowup.

Im putting 10 grand or more into my rex because i love crx's so much and i dont wanna give it away. They can go fast as hell if u build em right. i still want it to be streetable so i can toy w/ mustangs n ****. Does anyone else love rex's so much not to give it up? Thankz for the reply's.

 

Just don't go to a shop and say "heres 10 g's build me something fast". They'll build you somthing with 4 and spend the rest on thier own car...or at the casino.
