Default usdm b18c1 vs jdm b16a2

well i know this could be answered before in a search but i was having trouble finding anything worth my answer. anyways, i know the hp numbers are similar on the two, i just found a b18c1 usdm at a good price but i was planning on buying a jdm b16a2 all along. the question is this, shoud i spend the extra $500 canadian to buy the usmd b18c1 or just save that money and buy the jdm b16a2. is that $500 worth it? i have driven a usdm b18c1 eg and found it pretty fast and fun to drive, could i axpect the same from a b16a2?

You had a lot of fun in my car didn't you...
You should have come for the drive down. I started to outrun Toby's Supra on the highway past 215 kph. He was rather shocked.

Oh, and go GSR!

I have nothing against the B16A. In fact, I used to have one in my car. And I thought it was a decent motor. But facts are facts. And the fact is that while the B16A is better than any of the D-series motors, the B18C is better than the B16A. So if you like the B16A, just think of the B18C as giving you everything you get from the B16A (except the 1.74:1 rod ratio), just MORE of it. That is why my CRX now has a B18C5.
