Default need your opinion: new throttle body

my pos jg that i've had intermittent problems with for years is now worse than ever. my idle drops off about a 1000 then goes back up, making this annoying revving like some impatient punkass jerk kid. i call it my "automatic street race enabler" because it sounds like i'm revving on you. very embarrassed to be in front of a nice white itr this morning on the way to work. the tps was tested and is ok. i was told that it's the throttle plate - that it's "sticking open." i can't mechanically envision how this is causing the problem i'm experiencing but i don't need any prodding to dump this piece of crap jg. because of my new s2im, this is probably a good time to switch over to an itr throttle cable and bracket and of course an ls/itr/non-gsr throttle body. so here are the players i know of:

rc engineering - heard good things, my shop probably has it in stock, don't know price, $250ish? is it 64 or 68 or you choose?
holley - been drooling over this piece since i saw it. they have a 62 and a 68 that i think runs at least $375
bbk - 70mm, $320 at options, but haven't heard anything from users
pyr - ?
ips - ?
gude - sorry, i don't do gude.
jg - not even for $99, no core.
oem itr - 62 maybe too small for my 187whp goal and expensive though probably reliable
spoon - 70, don't have $550 or whatever for a tb. but it comes with custom cut gasket which is cool.
any others i forgot (and can afford)?

also, is there a difference between 94-95 and 96+ or some other grouping? a sensor thing? or is it integra 90-00? wanna make sure it works with my 94gsr/s2im.

thanks in advance for your time/insight.

I made well over 200whp(cloes to 230) with stock itr tb and intake manifold.
It does the job.

thanks for responding. i guess it's not exactly a restriction. not sure i could get a reasonable price on the oem part within a very short time frame.

i forgot erick's racing 70mm. around $430?

any reason not to go mega-wide (68-70)? i have headwork, cams/valvetrain, etc.

I have heard of people having problems with the overly large TBs.
no solid evidence just hearsay.
I am probably going to try the ericks racing 70mm, but it wont be for a while.

here's what my shop just told me:

the rc is not billet anymore. it's just a re-bore. should be around $235.
jg is not doing re-bore anymore (???) billet piece around $400
bbk available - three something
oem itr $640 list price
my core may be no good as trade in and...
it's possible that it's fixable.

edelbrock site is confusing.

We had a JB TB on the shop truck and it idle like $hit. We put a stock TB on it last week and it's like a new car.

Before you shelling out the cash for a new TB, are you sure it's the TB that's causing the problem? I have a JG bored throttle body on my GSR and have no problems with it whatsoever, car idles exactly like stock. If you think the throttle plate is too open, that is actually adjustable. There is a locknut near where the throttle cable goes, you can use it to adjust how much the throttle plate closes in it's closed throttle position. Look closely and you will see how it works. One thing though, if the throttle plate is too closed it may stick. Good Luck.
