Default clutch problem

I did a search but I wasn't able to really find what I was looking for. I've deduced that it may either be a bad master cylinder or slave cylinder but I want to know if any other luders have had this problem.
My clutch will seldom allow me to engage any gears. At a stop, it will seldom allow me to easily put my car into gear, and at crusing speds, it's damn near impossible to put it into gear, I really have to jam it in while I'm stepping all the way down on the clutch. It's parked right now, but I'd really like to konw the actual problem, as well as the solution. If it's the cylinders, do they have to be replaced or can they be repaired?

BTW, I can step on my clutch and it comes back to the upright position but it feels as if the last little part of stepping on it, when it's closest to the gournd is where it's the hardest to push, it feels like I should be pushing further in order to get it into gear smoothly. Any helpwould be great!

Have you lost any fluid. Is there any leaking by the firewall near the master cylinder? Near the slave cylinder? You could of busted a clutch disc spring. It's not uncommon and will cause engagement probs.

the fluids seemed to be topped off in the resevoirs but I haven't been able to notice any leaking anywhere. As for the clutch spring, is the only way to find out if this is the problem, is to take out the cltch? Finally, someone suggested that it may be my tranny fluid....or rather the lack of tranny fluid.

After a clutch job in an Integra, we ran into the same problem. Bled the clutch hydraulics and it was good.

so even if the resevoir is full, I may still need to bleed it? WEll, I only ask cuz I never disassembled the clutch at all, it kinda just went there, but I guess I can give that a shot. Also, how likely could it be either the spring or the tranny fluid? When I start it up, it can go into first gear rather easily and sometimes it goes into the other gears while cruising too, but while cruising, this is where I mostly have difficulties. It seems almost tempermental. As for the spring, if it were the spring, would it be able to go into gear at all?

Okay, I just did a check on my tranny fluid...at least I think I did. On the bottom of the tranny case on the h22a's, there's a little bolt (14mm) that I took out and nothing came out, but there was a bit of fluid...smelled like oil on the end of it. Is this the drain plug for the tranny fluid? Anyway, yah, I was expecting a **** load of fluid to drain out but yah, nothing!

I know the b series trannies use about 2 L, so you were definitely low. Find the leak and refill and you're done.
