Symptoms of a bad PP?
I just put my tranny back in again and the clutch doesnt work. If I start it in gear with the clutch pushed in the car moves. If I start it in Neutral it will not go into gear. The clutch cable is new and I have tried adjusting it in both directions to no avail. The clutch is an Exedy Organic race clutch that is about 4-5 months old. The clutch pedal has plenty fo resistance and I did remember to put the TO bearing back on.
Could this be a bad PP? I have run out of ideas and it is starting to anger me.
Thanks for any help.

My friend had the same exact syptoms as you. It seemed like his clutch was always engaged, even if the clutch pedal was stepped on.
His tranny was hydro, but the problem sound like it's the same with yours. We found that his clutch-master-cylinder was bad, and didn't give the TO bearing enough movement to disengauge the clutch plate.
Your cluth is definetly enganged. Seems like a minor problem....good luck

when you try to lift the lever with your hand is it tough to do? cuz let me tell you with my act clutch and pp i had no way of ever lifting that lever. how about proper clutch with proper offset and the to bearing is travelling the full distance it should.
When you push the pedal in is it pulling the lever the whole way up... or close to it?
I haven't looked at one in a while, but I think there is an indentation on the trans that allows the lever to come up... you can judge how far up it is going based on that. If the lever is going up the whole way, then you know your problems are in the case. If it isn't then you have a bad cable or you have the adjustment thing on wrong.
