OK, I HAVE AN '88 DX W/ A B16A1. I GOT SOME GSR CAMS AND ADJUSTABLE GEARS, NOT PUT IN YET BECAUSE I WILL SOON BE BOOSTED. SHOULD I STICK WITH THE STOCK CAMS OR GO WITH THE GSR'S?????

 

ive always heard that gsr cams are the best choice for boost and the gen 1 b16a cams are not agressive at all so i would go for them if u can get a deal on em

 

Posting in all capitals is really f&*ing annoying.

 

i would go with the GSR cams since there is less overlap in the cams. but if your going to get the adjustable gears then you could just stick with the b16 cams and tune out the overlap. how much boost you looking to run?

 

Actually the GSRs have more overlap than the B16 cams but the GSRs still make more power.

 

GSR's are best for boost period...

 

GSR cams have more lift than first gen b16cams. so use them. and tune the cam gears.. should have great results.

 

Almost all DOHC Vtec cams are more aggresive than 1st gen B16a cams, except for the 1st gen AUTO B16a cams.

I have some B17 GSR cams for sale if anyone is interested.
