You should do a cooling system pressure test and check for external leakage. The best to use to look for an external coolant leak is a LED UV light. The UV light will reflect the green color of the coolant like glowing green light. You also use a LED pen light with a blue LED light. This tool can be purchase at Napa for about $20.00 or at toolwarehouse.net.

I can't remember what the additive is called, but it is found in the local parts store. Comes in a small bottle, brown in color. Add into radiator, start the car up and use a black light or LED pen light and look for leak. It will appear whitish, and locate the leak source.

I also don't remember the name. but, it dye in it to trace coolant leak. but, you will still need to buy a uv light, alot of money. The dye stuff is better for Toyota; for, they use a red type of coolant. But, the blue LED works get on tracing coolant. The blue light reflects the green coolant and make it stand out alot. You should try it - the LED pen light only cost about $10 - $20 dollars. A local Napa store should have this tool or any place that sells tools. However, you can purchase it also at http://www.toolwarehouse.net.
