i read upon a blown head gasket. i do have some symptons but my car doesnt smoke or idle all wierd. there is a lil bit of water in the exhuast. there is a milky cream that spits out and under the oil caps. i pull the dip stick out and the oil looks fine. my friends dad says it from the short distance driving i am doing. any other possibilities this cant be a blown head gasket?

get a leak down test
it will tell you for sure...but youre definitely getting coolant in the oil up top

Compression test will be a good place to start.

A small amount of water in the exhaust is normal. Your not seeing alot of white smoke coming from the tail pipe? Are you loosing coolant?

Alot of short distance driving can cause condensation to build up in the top of the engine, on the oil fill cap and sometimes on the upper dipstick.

You said theres a "milky cream that spits out". wheres that coming from exactly?

well there is coolant mixing into the head. i removed the valve cover and there is a crapload of gunk under the cover. i mean alot. my dad's friend saw the car and first thing he said is the coolant isnt mixing right. it look like thick grease. there is water seeping into the head. well he is gonna repair it AND AND...since we have the head off...SKUNK2 Stage 1 TUNER CAMS!!!! so its good and bad lol.

dosent sound like a blown head gasket since you said idle was fine usaully you will loose compression on 2 cylinders right next to each other also is it getting hot. If your still not sure test the compression

yeah that is kinda wierd though. what i was thinking somehow water got into the engine. i think the shop who installed my manifold wrong. there is a lil black box right behind the block. there was a hose connected to the intake manifold. there is a nipple right undernearth the big nipple for the radiator coolant to flow thru. i yanked out that hose and there was radiator fluid. my oil dip stick has water but nothing major. this is really stumping me.

definetly possible that the manifold is leaking coolant into the engine I would check that out if your manifold has coolant flowing through it

black box goes to the intake manifold
the rail underneath it goes from the tstat to the water pump

YUP!!! the coolant lines did get mixed up. okay question is now...how can i FLUSH all this coolant out my car. i do not want to drive it. is there anything i can do to flush it out. i also have a another black box under the battery which says "PURGE" where does that hose go to?

There's a wing nut beneath the radiator you need to loosen.. (NUMBER 2)




There's also a bolt right near the oil filter that you can remove, it's like a 19 or 21MM bolt head size and you can use that to totally flush the system of all coolant/crap.

okay when i flush it how many times and what do i use to flush it all out?

Buy 5 gallans of distilled water at your local super market. shouldn't cost more then three bucks with tax. you should be able to flush out your coolent system with that ~4 times.
and remember set your heater to "hot" inside the car! that way the coolent that's in your heater core gets cleaned out of there

There are some coolent system flush products that you can get a hold of at your local ausoparts store. I'd use that during your first flush.
the question is do you have any oil in your coolent?

what from what i see there is none. i know i need to do a coolant flush to be safe. i have the oil mixed in motor. do i use like motor oil to flush the oil out..or?

Don't say 'usually' when talking about how headgasket failures occur.

I've had them go out on me 3 times, Once was between Cyl 1 and 2, Once was JUST cyl 4, and once was JUST cyl 2.

the coolant channels are on the top and bottom of the pistons, not really 'between' them, so in fact, its more rare for 2 to be leaking coolant into them at the same time instead of just one.

I don't mean to bash, Just educate.

its not creamy yet. there is water in the oil pan. i just changed the oil too so its straight fresh.

get your head gasket fixed now unless you plan to swap motors in the near future

why is that? i am not smoking or losing compression. they mixed up a hose when they installed my blox intake manifold. the lil black box suppose to go in front of the manifold

Yeah about my last post, I missed a few posts reading over your thread. you could probably disgard that other post of mine.

I think from here your best bet is to watch the oil CLOSE. If you still want to get rid of the gunk under your valve cover I would think that your local autoparts store should carry a engine flush.

What does this gunk look like anyway? Pics would help alot

well my dad friend is gonan repair it. he said my head can be damaged. only reason mixing the coolant and stuff. since it has a undetermine amount of time how long the coolant been in there. he wanna take it off and get the head pressure checked. he said he will do a headgasket job for 500. he works at the honda dealership near me.
